O.K, so I’m only 15, but I like photography and would like to peruse it as a career someday. I have a decent digital camera, It’s a 5mp camera with a 4x optical zoom and a pretty decent lens. It’s just a point a shoot, but I didn’t have $700 to spend on an slr. I’ve read a book that taught me about aperture and iso and stuff. Anyway, can photography be a potential career? What could I do, if it made decent money I would like shooting weddings and events and stuff (I like candid photography best) but am willing to explore other options. Know, since I’m only 15 I know I wont be making any money for awhile but what can I do now to prepare for later? I mean like practising my photography. Oh yeah, I am decent at editing my photos and have Paint Shop Pro. So, yeah, what can I do know and what should I do later?
P.S
You don’t have to tell me that your not going to be able to do photography full time starting out, I know that photography would have to be a side job.

I’m looking for a new mobile phone with a decent camera, flip form, bluetooth and large storage capacity. I’m prepaid with Nokia but would like an unlocked phone. I would prefer to spend up to $250, $300 max. Any ideas of phones available in Australia?? Thanks

I’m using adobe photoshop 7 but I’m using it mostly for photo editing and for creating simple image and text effects. I can’t seem to digitally paint or draw any image smoothly. Do I just need to have the skills for digital painting and just stick with Adobe Photoshop 7, or is there a better software that is more convenient to use when it comes to digital painting and drawing?
Your suggestions and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

A client gave me a logo in jpg, bitmap and tif formats. It has a white background. He wants me to be able to drop it into an ai flyer that has a multicolored background and does not want it to be on a white backdrop – just wants the logo without that pesty white behind it. I have been messing with this for HOURS and cannot seem to make this happen. No, I do not have the original psd or ai files.
This is what I have been able to do:
-Select and carry alllllll the elements of the logo into new psd docs with Transparent backgrounds.
-Take those elements, now onTransparent backgrounds, and put them together into one new psd doc.
This is where it gets messy……while I would have thought that would have done the trick, when I SAVE the new logo with the Transparent background – and regardless of what format I save it into….jpg, tif, etc. – I STILL end up with a logo with a WHITE background.
HELP!

I have found several in-depth sites dedicated to reviewing a wide range of digital cameras, but none for film. If you know of any for film cameras, particularly if they include non-professional cameras, that’d be great. No responses on the benefits of digital, please.
